NICE has been working for the holistic development of the target groups such as scheduled caste ,scheduled tribe ,most backward and other marginalised communities since 2007.We have been focussing on women empowerment(Domestic Violence against ,Gender justice,gender equality,social security) Child Rights(Child labour,child marriages and child abuse),Community health programme(HIV/AIDS Prevention, Control, Care and Support among Slum dwellers, Street children, Sex workers and MSMs), Environmental, Agriculture, Water and sanitation,covid-19

OUR VISION
Network Initiatives for Community Empowerment(NICE) ensuring the empowerment and awakening of women in a manner that is not destructive physically, emotionally and equipping them to take care of their problems and their children physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
OUR MISSION
NICE operates for the holistic development of the downtrodden destitute, marginalized and exploited women specially women and children in the rural areas by forming and strengthening them in to basic women communities
Our Programs
WOMEN CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM
NICE has been conducting various capacity buildings to strengthen them to come out various social evils such as superstionns,myths etc.and to strengthen her capacity to fight the exploited women related issues from her childhood and lead a justified and dignified life.
CHILD EDUCATION PROGRAM
The target children are very much denied of the basic necessities of life like food, health, clothing, education and hope for life. The study of these situations has motivated NICE to intervene in the system and plan for alternative strategies to solve this problem.
WOMEN HEALTH AWARENESS
Prevention of maternal mortality through awareness on maternity care, Prevention of maternal mortality through awareness on maternity care. - Prevention of teenage and un-wanted pregnancy. - Contraceptive and family planning services. - Timely emergency obstetric care. - Having skilled attendance. - Sensitization of health workers, doctors and other social partners. - Prevention of teenage and un-wanted pregnancy. - Contraceptive and family planning services. - Timely emergency obstetric care. - Having skilled attendance. - Sensitization of health workers, Registered Medical/Private medical practioners, Doctors and other social partners.
Child Rights Awareness
NICE Organization focused on child rights by addressing the issues of Child marriages, child labor & child abuse at village. The parents are educated on the above said problems. Even the parents are provided awareness and ensure that the children are not involved in labor works or get married at early age. Child abuse is common in the family which should be avoided and ensure the same even in the schools. IEC materials are developed & distributed in the villages. Child marriages are stopped and counselling was given to the parents, in few cases, police complaints are given. Child labor is the major issue in the project area and drives are conducted with the support of educational institutions.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
NICE has been conducting village meetings to women to have exclusive women organizations (sangha) to have collective reading of the reality of their situations which include: gender sensitization, gender equality, visibility of women is the socio-political scenario in the society.
AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON HIV AIDS:
The project HIV/AIDS Prevention, Control, Care and Support among slum dwellers, street children, sex workers and MSMs is to create an enabling atmosphere to scale up prevention and care services and focused on prevention and control of HIV/AIDS among truck drivers etc.,
GIRL CHILD EDUCATION PROGRAM
NICE works with under-privileged children under difficult circumstances such as child labour, children of poorest of poor parents, children infected and affected With HIVIAIDS, street and runaway children, children with rare disability (Autism, Deaf & Dumb, Blind and Spastic etc.).
SHG MEETINGS:
NICE aimed at elimination of discrimination against women in all walks of life and economic development through integration of women to mainstream economy & self reliance among women Self Help Groups (SHG). This is to create confidence and knowledge among SHG's Groups.
FOOD SUPPLY TO MIGRANT LABOUR:
:During the pandemic- COVID 19, NICE has provided dry ration to 300 families and also provided food packets to more than 1000 migrant labour, poor people and street rag pickers for 3 months with local contributions and members contributions and even in omicran variant..
SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES:
NICE has been giving trainings on skills development which considered as key for productive employment. Hence it is an important means for increased productivity, private-sector development, inclusive economic growth and poverty reduction. Economic diversification and structural change towards high productivity sectors is necessary for combating poverty in a sustainable way. This requires a better skilled and more adaptable labour force which can spur domestic and foreign investment. Linking skills development to broader education and employment, growth and development strategies and systems is essential to ensure relevance, policy coherence, coordination and alignment. Lack of education is one of the main cause of the backwardness in our area. Especially female education is very low. Compare to boys the girl-drop outs are more in elementary section itself.
ENVIRONMENT
NICE is aimed at creating environmental awareness amongst children, women and farmers through various action oriented interventions. NICE has been raising nursery with shade, fruits and other plants for distributing to community for environmental protection in and around the target villages.
